It seems like these days, everyone’s obsessed with vintage this, vintage that.

Old family photos are something that will always grab someone’s eye, and forget about it if a sea-foam green thunderbird drives by. There wont be a head that doesn’t turn to gawk at the old car in all of its glory.

But music from the same general era? That will never get old.

Rock music from around those times, give or take a decade or so, is essentially timeless. From Elvis, to The Beatles, to The Rolling Stones, these guys were all revolutionary in their own ways, in their own decade.

But what did these musicians do before they hit it big time? They had to work their tails off just like the rest of us. You don’t simply achieve that level of fame in the blink of an eye. You’ve got to scratch the bottom of the barrel before you can make it big.

In 1964, TheRolling Stones were in the beginning stages of their existence. They were trying to get on by as musicians, which is never easy, no matter what decade it is.

One thing musicianscan do for some cash is write jingles for TV. And that’s exactly what The Stones did for a Rice Krispies TV spot that aired in England in 1964 for a short period of time.

I’ve gotta say, this is pretty darn good for a TV commercial ditty!
